Stuart works out of Mumbai, India. STUDIRT takes commissions across India, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, and Malaysia. Remote delivery is standard for most production work; on-site attendance is scoped separately for live direction.
STUDIRT is Stuart DaCosta’s professional practice — the brand name under which he takes on commercial commissions. It is not a separate studio, label, or employer; all compositional and creative credit on every commission belongs to Stuart.

A one-paragraph synopsis, the timeline (delivery date), scope (features vs. stings, edits, etc.), your budget range if known, and 2–3 tonal references. Any reel, storyboard, or assembly cut is a bonus. The contact form has fields for each.

Yes. After the discovery call we share a written scope-of-work and fee schedule. No work starts until that is counter-signed.
Standard is 50% on commission, 25% at a defined midpoint (depending on service), and 25% on delivery. Payment is via bank transfer; GST invoices are issued. International clients can settle in USD or AED equivalent.
For commissioned film scores and advertising, the commissioner owns the synchronisation rights per the signed scope; Stuart retains composer credit and authorship. For produced artist records, the artist/label owns the masters and Stuart retains production credit. Exact splits are written into every contract.

Final mixes, stems, and cue sheets in broadcast-ready specifications. We align on deliverable format during the discovery call — DCP, OTT, festival, and broadcast masters all supported.
Yes. Documentaries, short films, trailer packages, and feature-length originals are all in scope. Scope and engagement model are sized during discovery.
Yes. STUDIRT has composed and produced advertising music for brand campaigns including Cadbury and Myntra. Work covers original composition, arrangement, and broadcast-ready mastering.
Both. Most engagements run through agency creative teams, but we also work directly with in-house brand teams for sonic identity work.
Standard hand-off includes 6s, 15s, 30s, and 60s edits plus an anthem cut where relevant. Additional edits and language versions are scoped per campaign.
Yes, for a limited number of projects each year. Singles, EPs, and full-length records are all in scope — we scope engagement depth during discovery.
Mix-ready or fully mixed deliverables are in-house. Mastering is coordinated with a trusted external mastering engineer unless the brief requires otherwise.
Yes. We work with clients across India, UAE, Australia, and Malaysia. Production is delivered remotely unless the project requires on-site direction.
Tours, festival sets, award performances, and broadcast capture. Work typically includes arrangement, rehearsal, and live-mix supervision.
Yes — across India and internationally for tours and festival runs. Travel and per diems are scoped separately from the direction fee.
Yes. Casting, briefing, and rehearsal direction are part of the scope for most live engagements.
